The Silver River
Iconic wild rhesus monkeys, manatees in winter, and the world-famous Silver Springs headwaters. Launches and returns at Ray Wayside Park. Upstream travel is limited to about 1.5 mph against the current, so plan a full day to reach the head spring (about 5 hours up, 1 hour back).
- • Half day (4 hrs) — $120–$140
- • Full day (7 hrs) — $180–$200
- • Sessions: 8 AM–12 PM, 1 PM–5 PM, or 8 AM–3 PM
- • Upstream ~1.5 mph; head spring can take up to 5 hrs, return ~1 hr
The Rainbow River
Crystal-clear spring water, lush eelgrass, turtles, and gentle current perfect for a relaxed cruise. Tours begin and end at Blue Run next to Hwy 484 — no need for a second car! The trip to the end of the river is about 2 hours upstream and 45 minutes back.
- • 3-hour minimum — $80–$100
- • +$35 per additional hour
- • Round-trip from Blue Run; ~2 hrs upstream, 45 min return
